The course covers the essential innate needs and resources we all have (the human givens), an understanding of the difference between the thinking and emotional brain, the RIGAAR model, guided imagery, the rewind technique (for removing the effects of trauma) and using stories for healing. These topics were taught for application with adults and children.

The course was run jointly for REACH Rwanda and the Rwandan Association of Trauma Counsellors (ARCT RUHUKA). The tutors were Maarit Brooks and Carly Raby

The attendees who completed the course received certificates from Mindfields College / Human Givens Institute and Luna Training
